Advantage Mentoring Coordinator (Fixed Term)

The Role
We are looking for an Advantage Mentoring Coordinator to take ownership of the organising and planning of our Programmes.
Working across Islington, Camden and Hackney; the Advantage Mentoring programme provides mentoring support for young people through our Talking Tactics programme and to adults who are part of our Working Better programme.
These programmes embrace a wide variety of community involvement which you will help to design, develop and deliver these sessions with a continuous effort to review and develop our programmes.

Your day-to-day
- Act as a champion of Advantages Mentoring - you will proudly attend regular supervision meetings with the NHS team as well as engaging with partner organisations ensuring a referral process and wider support is continuously available
- Take a lead on coordination - you’ll confidently design, develop and deliver mentoring sessions in line with the Advantage Mentoring framework, monitoring and recording all appropriate activity across our programmes and ensure all our compliance and legal documentation are up to date
- Monitor and develop our programmes - you will attentively monitor and evaluate requirements of the programmes through record keeping, reporting and developing case studies to demonstrate the impact and to continually develop our programmes to meet individuals needs
- Support the Community team - you’ll work closely with our internal team, attending required meetings in order to contribute to the decision-making process and develop productive working relationships within and across the team
What we are looking for
- Hold valid certifications - you will obtain a Level 4 qualification (or the equivalent of) in Education and Training as well as in Information, Advice and Guidance
- Experience in a mentoring role - you’ve got a proven track record in mentoring individuals, a background in developing and delivering training and good knowledge of curriculum developments for learning programmes
- Expertise in coordination - you come with experience in project coordination and management, with a high level of attention to detail, excellent administration and organisation skills and proficiency in all Microsoft Office programmes
- Personable and inspiring mindset - you thrive in a team environment and hold strong communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate individuals whilst being empathetic to the needs of the individual or group
