Sales Ledger Assistant
An excellent opportunity for a dedicated Sales Ledger professional to assist in ensuring financial self-sustainability and also support and fund on-field success.
The Role
We are looking for a Sales Ledger Assistant to join the Finance team, providing support to ensure that all day to day business activities and revenues are recorded and ensure that all customers’ accounts are kept up to date.
You'll play a vital role within a team responsible for financial management and reporting to ensure compliance, providing our club with robust support services around the reporting of financial information, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, monitoring and payrolls.

Your day-to-day
- Ensure accurate revenue recording - you'll be supporting the team to ensure the completeness of revenue recognition within month end deadlines, including setting up new customers in the accounting system and raising invoices and credit notes as required
- Manage customer interactions - you'll be handling incoming queries from customers, ensuring prompt and professional responses, while also overseeing receipts, cash allocations, and following up on any outstanding debts to maintain great relationships and healthy cash flow
- Deliver insightful reporting - you'll be responsible for producing sales ledger reports, including departmental debtor summaries and weekly high value debtor updates, providing the business with key insights
- Support financial controls and reconciliations - you’ll be reconciling third-party recharge accounts and managing the match-by-match box holder consumption recharges to ensure accurate cost allocations and audit ready records
- Collaborate with internal departments - you'll be coordinating the collection and distribution of departmental post, supporting the smooth operation of the wider finance function

- Deadline driven approach - you're able to work to tight deadlines, prioritising tasks effectively
- Clear and confident communicator - you're skilled in communicating with both customers and internal stakeholders to identify and resolve issues
- Exceptional attention to detail - you're comfortable managing a high volume of data input with a strong focus on accuracy and consistency
- Resilience and persistence - you're confident in dealing with challenging customer situations, particularly when following up on overdue or disputed payments
- Tech-savvy and adaptable mindset - you have experience with MS Office applications, and are comfortable navigating finance systems
- Positive and proactive attitude - you're an enthusiastic team player with a dynamic, can-do mindset, ready to tackle ad-hoc queries and support the wider team as needed
