Casual Community Football Coach - Parks and Estate Programme (Kicks)
An incredible opportunity to deliver sessions to participants of our Kicks and Positive Futures programmes.
The Role
We are looking for a passionate Community Football Coach to join us on a casual basis.
You will play a key role in our community Kicks and Positive Futures programmes. The programmes provide weekly football sessions on parks and housing estates in Islington, Hackney and Camden. We adopt a child centered approach with coaches delivery of football activity, whilst also using youth work approaches in order to build trusting relationships with participants.

Your day-to-day
Inspire and educate - you will deliver high quality coaching sessions to children that are in line with the programme values and support young people’s personal development both on and off the pitch
Engage and collaborate - you'll build and support positive working relationships with players, parents/guardians and professionals such as local youth workers and police
Support and develop - you will oversee and mentor trainee coaches delivering on the programme to help them develop their skills and confidence to deliver high quality football sessions
Oversee data collection and administration - you will complete tasks related to the sessions such as updating registers, consent forms or risk assessments
Deliver child friendly competition - you have a positive commitment towards equality and diversity by ensuring that sessions are accessible to all
Champion safeguarding and health and safety - you'll create and support safe environments for our participants to engage in and take action to share any concerns for them
Drive your own development - you will consistently stay up to date with training and opportunities to grow in your role
What we are looking for
Experience in a similar coaching role - you have an FA Level 1 Award in Coaching Football/UEFA B and a valid, up to date certification(s) in First Aid and Safeguarding Children
Inspiring leadership skills - you have excellent inter-personal skills with a positive, engaging and confident demeanour
Excellent organisational skills - you're committed to high quality delivery and service so enjoy working to deadlines and have a flexible approach
Dynamic communicator - you're able to communicate clearly across a highly diverse range of audiences, adapting your style, tone and approach as needed
Passion for community - you have an understanding of youth principles and you're motivated with the desire to make a real difference to people's lives within the local community
Trusted ambassador for our club - you recognise your responsibility as a representative of our club and maintain exceptional standards of professional behaviour and boundaries towards colleagues, our community participants and the wider public
