AWFC Academy Technical Coaches (Casual Role)
An exciting opportunity to support the development of our Academy players through innovative planning, delivery and management of training sessions and match days.
The Role
We are looking for a number of Academy Technical Coaches on a casual basis for Arsenal Women Football Club. The roles are responsible for delivering an effective coaching programme for players aged 7-16 years old in the Girls Youth Academy and will support the development of the players through innovative planning, delivery and management of training sessions and match days.

Your day-to-day
Oversee our coaching programme - you'll plan, deliver, and review a holistic coaching programme in line with the Academy Technical Programme for goalkeepers and/or outfield players
Uphold our high standards - you will ensure high standards of Coach delivery to support the long term player development of all players within the age group
Deliver impactful training programmes - you'll work closely with other age group Coaches to deliver appropriate individual training programmes
Provide matchday support - you will attend all matches and assist with matchday management of all fixtures against boys grassroots/academy teams as well as other PGA's, both home and away
Collaborate with wider team - you'll liaise with a multidisciplinary support team (e.g. Medical, Physical Performance, Education, Sports Psychology & Talent ID) when planning and delivering coaching sessions and matches
Capture insightful data - you will ensure all relevant information is recorded fully using appropriate club processes
Conduct player reviews - you will take pride in carrying out performance reviews, in line with the requirements of our club, and deliver feedback to players and parents both formally in meetings, and informally as required
Adhere to safeguarding practices - you will ensure safeguarding requirements as outlined in our safeguarding policy and comply with its requirements to safeguard and protect the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
What we are looking for
Background in academy coaching - you come with experience of coaching youth academy players (7-16 years) and a history of mentoring and developing other Coaches
Knowledge of and passion for the Women's game - you've got an understanding of the FA Women's and Girls player pathway and a knowledge of the standard of players required our club
Credible expertise - you hold a UEFA C Licence and are working towards UEFA B / FA Level 3, and you also are a FA Licensed Coaches Club Member with an FA Youth Award
Certifications in safeguarding and first aid - you have an up to date FA Safeguarding Children Certificate and a FA Emergency Aid Qualification (FA Basic First Aid for Sport Qualification (BFAS) or FA Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football)
Forward-thinking mindset - you're well informed on long term player development and how to help young players to evolve their game and thrive, and you build exceptional rapport with players and have an ability to set realistic goals and encourage players to excel
Best-in-class communication skills - you are a dynamic and confident communicator, able to adapt style and approach as necessary
Champion for equality, diversity and inclusion - you demonstrate commitment to inclusive pathways and positive experiences for girls and young women from a diverse range of backgrounds
Advocate for safeguarding and health and safety - you assist in creating and supporting safe environments for our participants to engage in and take action to share any concerns for them
Position of Trust - As someone in a position of trust role involving regular, direct contact with children or vulnerable adults you will be expected to uphold high standards of conduct to prevent abuse, including sexual, physical, or emotional harm. This role requires you to keep updated with both Club and FA Safeguarding training and education.
