As someone that is neurodivergent, I’ve learned that when I’m surrounded by the right people and given purpose, it becomes my superpower. Arsenal is that place for me.

Life at Arsenal For Daniel
Why did you want to work with us at Arsenal and how did you apply/find your role?
Working for Arsenal is more than a job, it’s a lifelong dream come true. As a kid, I either wanted to be Festival Director or work for Arsenal (as a player when I was really young haha). My family’s connection to our club goes back generations. My grandad used Highbury Stadium as a bomb shelter during WWII, Arsenal has been part of our family’s story. Supporting this club is in my blood.
As someone that is neurodivergent, I’ve learned that when I’m surrounded by the right people and given purpose, it becomes my superpower. Arsenal is that place for me.
I'd applied for a few roles previously and not been successful, so I did what any good salesperson would do, I used my intuition and was bold. I researched, networked, and reached out directly to the hiring manager. This resulted in them responding to me on LinkedIn when a suitable role went live and I applied through Arsenal Careers.
Tell us what a typical day looks like in your role?
As a Premium Sales Executive, I get to speak with Arsenal fans every day and get paid to do it, how lucky is that? My role is all about understanding their needs and aligning them with the right premium packages to help them get the most out of their experience with us. It’s about building long-term relationships, not just making a sale, I will happily turn down a big sale for a lesser sale if it’s more aligned with their needs, even if they were happy to spend a lot more, because repeat business is always better, and the client always appreciates it. We’re human, so be one.
No two days are the same. One day I might be helping a lifelong fan find the perfect hospitality package for a 90th birthday, the next I’m working with royal families or huge corporations. On another day, I could be working with internal teams to tailor experiences that align with our wider goals. My role feeds directly into our club’s mission of putting supporters at the heart of everything we do and as one myself, I love that.
What's your favourite thing about your role?
The people. Whether it’s the fans I speak to or the colleagues I work alongside, there’s a shared passion that makes every day special. I love being part of something bigger, helping supporters feel even more connected to our club and knowing that I’ve played a part in their journey. I want to emphasise to the people within the club, never have I felt so welcome and at home. Our club is in really good hands.

There are great online courses in sales, customer experience, and sports business that can help, but nothing beats genuine enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
