AWFC Academy Physiotherapist/Sports Therapist (Casual Role)
An exciting opportunity to provide our Women's Academy players with outstanding support and assess, diagnose and rehabilitate injured players across a range of youth age groups.
The Role
We are looking for an Academy Physiotherapist or Sports Therapist on a casual basis to assess, diagnose and rehabilitate injured players across a range of youth age groups with Arsenal Women Football Club.

Your day-to-day
Consult with players - you will communicate effectively with players to gather information about their general health and injury status
Lean into data - you will diligently collect and analyse data to identify cause of injury
Prioritise injury prevention - you'll contribute to strategies for the prevention and reduction of injuries
Deliver best-in-class services - you will expertly diagnose and handle treatment for our injured players
Champion impactful rehabilitation - you'll devise and manage rehabilitation and treatment plans and analyse their effectiveness
Uphold our high standards - you will be entrusted to produce and maintain concise, legible and accurate physiotherapy notes
Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders - you will diligently liaise with the Medical Lead and with international teams with regards to the injury status of players
Provide support across matchdays and training sessions - you'll have medical input into players on specified matches (home and away) and at all training sessions and you will ensure emergency action plans are in place and followed at training and matchday events
What we are looking for
Credible expertise - you have a BSc in Physiotherapy or BSc in Sports Therapy, current membership with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or Society of Sports Therapists, as well as FA Level 4 (IFAiF) Qualification or FA ITMMiF Level 4 (Essential)
Background of treating sport related injuries - you have in-depth experience of treating musculoskeletal/sporting injuries, and you come with excellent knowledge of developmental industries associated with youth players
Track record of creating exceptional recovery programmes - you're able to confidently assess injuries and design and deliver individual rehabilitation programmes
FA certification in safeguarding - you hold an FA Safeguarding Children Certificate and you have a strong knowledge and understanding of child protection issues
Act as a proud ambassador for our club - you'll adhere to our club code of conduct and to a strict code of confidentiality in respect of any information relating to our club and its operations, and you will strive to work within the parameters of our Child Protection, Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures
